Music in The McKenzie: The Roundstone Buskers

The Roundstone Buskers may be the smallest Irish ensemble in Central Illinois, but they really know how to fill a room with pleasing melodies from the Emerald Isle, and just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

Consisting of Shannan Sullivan (fiddle, vocals), Tom Jones (bodhran, percussion, whistle, vocals) and Bruce Burton (guitar, bouzouki, vocals), the acoustic power trio has been pleasing crowds with its untraditional Celtic repertoire for more than 15 years.

Named after the hometown of the great bodhran (drum) maker Malachy Kearns, the Roundstone Buskers are longtime friends who all served stints in the Bogside Zukes in the ‘90s.

Free and open to all ages.
