🐧 What Does a Penguin Project Mentor Do?

The Penguin Project gives young people with disabilities the opportunity to participate in a modified version of a Broadway musical.

Each artist is paired with a peer mentor, ages 10–23, who rehearses and performs alongside them. Mentors help their artist with lines, music, choreography and whatever support they may need along the way.

More importantly, they're there to be a friend, teammate and source of encouragement throughout the experience.

💜 Why Become a Mentor?

No theater experience is required! The Penguin Project is looking for young people who are kind, dependable, encouraging and ready to make new friends.

Along the way, mentors can:

🎭 Gain theater experience
🤝 Build friendships
⭐ Develop leadership skills
💜 Be part of an inclusive community
⏰ Earn 100+ community service hours
