Potbelly Sandwich Shop in East Peoria: A Review

New Kids Meals Are "Kind of a Big Dill" 🤣

By Samantha C. of Peoria for Peoria Macaroni Kid October 24, 2017

Potbelly Sandwich Shop, in East Peoria's Levy District, recently invited our family to try their new kids meals. We're a family of 4 - Mom, Dad, Boyd (3) and Aubrey (1). I'd been to Potbelly before for lunch, but I was excited to stop in for dinner as a family.

I have to say, it was delicious. They just came out with a new kids menu - which is amazing. Seriously. There are a variety of choices: turkey and cheddar sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, cheese pizza sandwich, pb&j sandwich, and macaroni and cheese. All come with applesauce, a mini oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and choice of milk, water or pop.

Boyd chose the ham and cheese sandwich with milk. I was hoping he'd go with the cheese pizza sandwich just so I could see what it was, but I guess we'll just have to come back another day. As you can see from the photos, he ate it right up (along with my soup)! Aubrey also enjoyed some avocado from our meals, as well as some of Boyd's ham. Boyd gave it a big thumbs up.

I would definitely recommend a family going there for lunch or dinner. One of the things I like about Potbelly is it isn't fried food, but it is still fast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
