Fall and Halloween Events in Central Illinois

Wildlife Scary Park
A Peoria area tradition during the season of fright, Wildlife Scary Park offers a kid-friendly Halloween experience. It runs Friday-Sunday over two weekends, October 21-23 and October 28-30. This family event offers trick-or-treating, hayrack rides, haunted train rides, animal encounters and much more! There will be a new addition to the event for ages 12 and older. Purchase the Hy-Vee Fun Pass and gain access to several activities like Knockerball, Laser Tag, Hall of Horror Haunted House and more!

Peoria POPS Orchestra Halloween Concert at Noble Center
Join the POPS on October 29 at 7 pm to hear them play music from Star Wars, Spiderman, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Wizard of Oz and more! Children 12 and under who wear a costume are free. $20 per family

Spiders, Oh My! at Forest Park Nature Center
Spiders may look sort of spooky, but they are actually more helpful than they are scary! Drop in on October 30 at 1:30 pm to learn about our eight-legged friends and make a spider-themed craft to take home.

Haunted Hallways at Limestone Community High School
This event is a safe and not-too-scary event benefiting Easter Seals from 3-6 pm on October 30. Cost is $5 per child/$15 family max. Includes inside trick-or-treating and games.

Halloween Sign and Sing Story Time at Sweet CeCe's
Join Communication Junction on October 31 at 10 am for a super special Halloween Sign and Sing Story Time! Bring your little one dressed in his/her costume or festive gear and enjoy stories, songs and rhymes all about our favorite holiday of the year. Ages 0-5. $5/family

Trick or Treat at the Eureka Library
On October 31 kids come in costume to the library between 10 am-12 pm or 3:15-4 pm and pick up a treat! There will be special treat bags for adults as well.

Wee Ones Halloween Party at Alpha Park Library
On October 31 from 10-11 am children 6 and under and their caregivers are invited to join their friends at the library for Halloween stories, snacks and a craft. Don't forget your costume for the parade!

Treats on the Prairie at The Shoppes at Grand Prairie
Join us on October 31 from 6-8:30 pm for Halloween fun as we play games, do face painting and pass out lots of candy!

Trunk-or-Treat at Proctor Rec Center
The trunks will be open from 5:00-8:00pm at Proctor Rec Center on Monday, October 31 displaying Halloween decorations and full of treats for kids! This FREE event is for trick-or-treaters ages 1-14.

Fall Festival at Logan Rec Center
Stop by the Logan Rec Center for spooky games, snacks, and trunk-or-treating in the parking lot! The fun will be on Monday, October 31 from 3:00-7:00 pm. Admission is $2.
Luthy will embrace the theme of Harry Potter for the Chrysanthemum Show from October 6-November 6 during regular hours. See a spectacular showing of magical plants, wizardly delights, and even spot “Harry and 
Hermione”! Free admission; donations welcome.
