Happy Wednesday! My last week was one of "those weeks." You know, the kind where your child has a mystery illness, you miss a deadline at work, and for some reason nothing will print from Microsoft Word? Let's just say I'm looking forward to the weekend.
On to more exciting things - did you hear about the winter sledding hill at Wildlife Prairie Park? It opens today!
And I have to give a shout-out to the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. Their famous cookies go on sale FRIDAY.
There are also plenty of Valentine's Day events and crafts on the calendar, from story times to frame building. We'll be celebrating by hitting up the Bradley vs. Illinois State game in Normal. Never a better time to wear red.
Finally, a reminder that February is Black History Month. The Peoria Public Library is running some great movies in celebration on Wednesday and Thursday nights in February at various branches. Check one out!
